pilona5 coffee machine – energy-saving and elegant
With the pilona5 coffee machine, 8 cups of 125 ml of filtered coffee can be brewed. The elegant thermal jug is equipped with a shatter-proof stainless steel vacuum cylinder and is ideally suited as a serving jug.
pilona5 impresses with an energy-saving eco-brewing process. Unlike other coffee machines, the integrated boiler is located right underneath the water tank, which leads to short water routes and thus to reduced temperature losses, noise and steam. When not in use, the pilona5 coffee machine can be left in standby mode at 0 Watt, which also helps to save energy.
With an automatic calcification stop function the pilona5 will stop the brewing sequence as soon as the coffee machine no longer works efficiently due to calcification or if there is a risk of damage to the heating element.
During the brewing process, the light of the eco-switch illuminates in red. Once the process has finished, the light goes out and the eco-switch moves into the off-position automatically. Unlike with other manufacturers, pilona5 switches off automatically after the brewing process.
The rotatable, removable filter holder, which is equipped with a drip stop and overfill protection, can be cleaned easily and conveniently.

Spare parts are those parts that can typically fail during the normal use of a product. Other parts that regularly outlast the service life of the product are not considered spare parts.

- The appliance is to be used for domestic purposes only and must not be used commercially.
- Never set the appliance down on hot surfaces or close to a naked flame.
- Use the accessories included in the delivery specification only.
- Do not bend the power cord. Never wrap the cable around the appliance.
- Route the power cord so that it does not come into contact with hot or sharp-edged objects. Do not allow the power cord to hang down over the edge of the worktop.
- Only start to use the appliance after it has been securely set up.
- This appliance may be used by children over 8 years of age as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or intellectual capabilities or persons lacking in relevant experience and/or knowledge provided that they do so under supervision or have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance and understand the potential risks associated with its use.

- Do not heat the thermal jug over a gas flame, on an electric hob, in a microwave or using other similar heating methods.
- Always remove the power plug from the socket in the event of a malfunction, before cleaning, when the appliance is not in use, and when it is left unsupervised. When doing so, pull on the plug and not on the cable.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Never expose the appliance to rain or any other form of moisture. If the appliance falls into water, unplug the cable from the mains socket before removing the appliance from the water. Have it inspected at an authorized service location before using it again.
- Always ensure that your hands are completely dry before using the appliance. Do not use the appliance if it is wet or damp or while you are standing on a damp surface. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Stop using the appliance immediately if any parts are damaged and contact the ritter after-sales service.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's after-sales service or a similarly qualified person to eliminate risk of personal injury.
Special features
Energy-saving coffee brewing
The pilona5 filter coffee machine is particularly energy-saving. The coffee machine automatically switches off to the 0-watt standby mode after brewing. The time it takes to switch off depends on how much limescale has built up in the appliance and how many cupfuls are currently running through it.
Optimum brewing temperature
The water tank and brewing system of the machine are located above the filter. The short distance between the water tank and filter achieves an optimal brewing temperature of the coffee. In addition, the noise is significantly reduced and less steam escapes during the brewing process.
Long-lasting coffee enjoyment
The vacuum jug with shatter-proof vacuum cylinder made of stainless steel ensures a long-lasting, hot coffee enjoyment. At the same time, unpleasant burns are prevented by the heat-insulated outer housing. The jug is also suitable as an elegant serving jug to the table.
Automatic limescale stop
The pilona5 coffee machine switches off automatically if the heating element can no longer work on the basis of limescale deposits or there is a risk of damage to the heating element. The automatic limescale stop helps to protect the heater from premature wear and thus supports the durability of the machine.
Swivelling filter carrier
The swivelling filter carrier is equipped with a drip stop and an overflow protection. The filter carrier can be easily removed for cleaning.
Up to 8 cups of filter coffee
With the coffee filter machine pilona5, 8 cups of 125 ml filter coffee can be brewed. The coffee machine is designed for filter size 4.
Sharp spout edge
The sharp spout edge of the vacuum jug prevents annoying drips when pouring and can therefore prevent unwanted coffee stains.
Breakfast set
Together with the incomparably narrow toaster volcano5 and the energy-saving kettle fontana5, the colour-coordinated breakfast set is complete – of course "made in Germany".
